[Those rough fingertips press across his hand, trailing and tickling the lines on his own calloused palm, like he's pressing salve into an unseen wound.
Caesar can't remember a time in his life when he remained this still.
If it were a normal conversation with the man trying this new ploy to screw with him, Caesar would push him off in a heartbeat and make him regret this attempt to toy with him. He would end it before it got any farther. Is tempted to, when that thumb brushes against the back of his hand in a gesture that's far too soothing to belong to JoJo and-
He keeps his gaze steady-only a single blink betrays that he's even conscious of what's happening between them. The steady spark of hamon, the drum of synchrony under his skin, the-
Squeeze of JoJo's hand against his. The face pressing into his chest-an action that feels far too natural, too comforting, too normal, when he can't recall this situation occurring at any other point during their training together.
The erratic beat, beat, beat of his heart is unfortunate-it screws with his breathing, makes that hamon surge and then pull back like he's a novice. He's angry at JoJo, at himself, at everything about this and as he's about to lay on him with another No because he can't slack. The knowledge he wins doesn't change the importance of the battle before him. He needs to get stronger. To not waste-
Their time together. A realization that makes him swallow hard and he steels his expression.
But then the bastard-he mentions making Manna and Caesar can't tell if he understands the implication. Everything about this interaction has been tender-those fingertips still feel like they're pressing into his birthmarks, his cheeks-he can feel it and-
He's so mad and he knows that's covering up something else. Knows it's an easy blanket to pull over the difficult to comprehend sensation churning in his chest.]
I told you I would help you find a Manna partner. You shunned my offer only a few days ago, but I'm kind enough to give you a second chance.
[That's a teasing edge to his voice and-]
Synchrony happens like this too, you know. [A beat. He steadies his voice. It's a simple fact. It's only a fact. In the same way hamon is created through the air they breathe, the connection is happening through touch.
It's fact.
That's all.]
You can't be so dense as to not feel it. It can be replenished this way.
[ It's like he's taking in every bit of what Caesar's saying and processing the best response to it all. He's uncertain if Caesar realizes the way he phrased it, but he also doesn't want to undermine him and think he's that stupid of a person to not realize exactly where this train of thought and physical contact is leading.
So, he'll push it. He'll do what he's best at and see how far they'll both take it. How far Caesar will let this go. For Joseph, he's still figuring out why this felt so good, so right. It's new and so foreign to him and he doesn't want to back away from this feeling even slightly.
He gently grips Caesar's hand, as if to ground himself with these sensations gently coursing through him. He wasn't stupid, he knew and could feel what was coursing through them... The fact that they were probably just a stone's throw away from actual Synchrony together. That heavy implication of how close they always were to that and how easy it was to reach it need not be said immediately. He figures that if he puts it too plainly, things will shattered and fall apart.
But if they keep speaking in vague enough terms, nothing will happen and he might miss this chance. He's not about to let it slip away and have them avoid it, dance around it, let Caesar slip away to someone else's arms repeatedly and drink up that feeling of someone else against his skin, producing heavy amounts of Manna. And he realizes that this feeling might be that one rumored as jealousy.
Huh. Maybe that's a sliver of what annoyed him with some of Caesar's flirting antics, but he also realizes... once they were in their training field, that all came to a grinding halt for this Casanova. It could be written off that he was too exhausted, too busy, too focused on his training, but there were plenty of nights Caesar could have slipped off and relieved his stress elsewhere... but he didn't. Unless he missed something, but he doubts it. ]
Then I don't need to look for a partner.
[ His body shifts closer, slides further up Caesar's body and their faces are now almost touching. It's a challenge. Silent, unspoken. He doesn't want to force the issue too deep, but he reminds himself that he needs to be pretty plain and forward about it and... and give Caesar control of the situation. If he wanted to win this battle, he also needed to admit small defeats.
So, he takes in a quiet breath and a warmth spreads through him. It almost feels a bit unnatural, this heat. Maybe it's from his Ruby powers or maybe this is a rush he's never quite felt in his life. This was all so new and... he lets his head drop, pressing his forehead against Caesar's and fixes his gaze with him. ]
Caesar, I'm going to tell you to shut up before you say anything about this... [ There's a sharp swallow and he closes his eyes. He's putting his pride out to reach the ultimate goal, he realizes this, but it's still hard. ]
I don't want the first time to be someone I've randomly picked up here. I don't understand any of this, but I understand this bond.
[ His hands squeeze Caesar's tighter, maybe even to a painful degree right now. It shows just how hard this is for him to admit even that might. Sure, Caesar probably could tell off his behavior that he didn't have prior experience, but this was not the time to tease or make fun of that and he hoped Caesar would pick up just how much vulnerability Joseph has showed him on multiple occasions since they arrived.
The squeeze eases up, almost to the point that Caesar could now easily pull his hand away and use it to shove him off. He'll let him make this next step, to see where he takes this information. Will they make progress or will it be destroyed? It's honestly hard to say and hinges completely on Caesar's response to this admission. ]
Caesar's aware the temptation had to be there-the level of self-control JoJo's exerting is troubling and impressive all the same. He thought that remark would tip the scales, end the novelty of this and put them back in their usual roles. One of them bites, the other nips back, they have their tussle and sit in a comfortable silence. That's not happening now and-
It drives home the importance of every word falling out of his mouth, of every delicate slight of hand against his body.
JoJo knows what he's doing and-
The verbal confirmation doesn't take long to follow. The confession something Caesar knew from the moment they met. He asked if JoJo ever had a girlfriend and the silence had been disgustingly telling.
And Caesar knows there's a reason he fixated on the man-it wasn't the first time they have other students training on the grounds, but something about him.
The way he was so stubborn, lazy, an absolute disaster of a human being that provoked and prodded at every nerve in his body at any available opportunity. It frustrated him and-
Excited him, in a strange way. The man's strength and resolve hidden below the surface of an arrogant fool-he always wanted to pull it out, wanted to see it in front of his very eyes, because he's never met another like this.
He can't bring himself to tear his eyes away-doesn't pull from the hand that slacks around his fingers. Every part of his body is stiff, until-
The decision is on him and he has a single, grand realization in that moment.
JoJo's fixation on this will end. The thrall of bonding with another person in an intimate way is a difficult call to ignore. He knows the first time holds importance to some, but he's long since forgotten the nameless tourist he slept with and their lackluster night together. It's a hazy memory lost in the countless rendezvous that followed.
JoJo will get this out of system and move on by the morning. He's emotional. Raw. Maybe the novelty of this city has worn off, the battles and confessions and deaths too much to bear-Caesar's no stranger to letting off steam under the sheet.
And Caesar hates him for it. Hates him for inciting this aggravated longing he always manages to pull, pull, pull out of him whenever he opens his mouth and-
He hates how soft his lips feel against his own. Pisses him off he can immediately feel that synchrony happen when he makes his 'choice' by pressing his hand against the back of his skull to pull his stupid, irritating mouth closer and-
He hates him. Absolutely hates him and-
He wants more, craves more, gives into the furious rush of needing more and pretends like this is the first time he's felt that way.
He hates him.
He always does this to him and-
Caesar drops his other hand from their intertwined grip, trailing his fingertips down his arm and to his elbow.]
You have the nerve to talk like that-
[Only a breath away-that's all it would take to kiss him again. An urge he resists by pressing his lips against the corner of his mouth instead.]
And claim it's my choice. No matter what I say, you're always ready with that sharp tongue of yours.
[A compliment and an insult wrapped in one, it's closer to their typical modus operandi and there's a playful, teasing edge to his quiet words.]
So go ahead-show me what else it can do. That's my choice.
[ It was a gamble, but one that Joseph figured he'd win. He stated before that he didn't like to fight when he didn't think he'd win. And while this isn't a fight exactly, in the conventional sense, for them it somewhat felt like it. A different kind of fight than what they knew and a lot more subtle than throwing fists and yelling at each other. It was also a lot more deadly of a game for them. One wrong move and not only could this moment collapse, but their friendship could come crumbling down with it. Maybe it could be shrugged off and laughed about later, but nothing would fit bad in its place quite the same ever again.
That kiss felt warm and nice. Perhaps his first? He would never tell a soul if it was or was not, considering he doesn't want to admit just how many firsts he'll be given up to the man he's pressed against. Even so, it's probable Caesar will figure it out and all he can hope is that he'll get a few firsts on a playboy like him. He's not sure what or how, but given time, he'll think more on that topic. For now, that wasn't an important matter.
For now, this was the important matter. Caesar wanted more. It wasn't an ideal way of hearing his choice, but it was still something and he can't help but quirk a bit of a grin against the lips that Caesar pressed at the corner of his mouth. In theory, h knew what to do and he'd do his best to execute everything to follow. Hell, maybe he even looked up a few things while browsing these phones, considering the plethora of knowledge and shitposting that was out there.
So, now that he has permission, he shifts a bit more proper and straddles Caesar's thighs, looking down at him, still holding that grin. ]
Maybe that's true, but you still have a choice in this matter.
[ His hands move to the edge of Caesar's shirt and start to slowly push up, fingers trailing along the well-sculpted stomach of his. His touch is just a slight bit warmer than it normally would due to his gem, but not enough to burn the other man. Just enough to compliment the passion.
While his hands slowly work to push up Caesar's body, he leans back in to bring his lips once again close to Caesar's. Before he presses another kiss down, there is a playful little nip. ]
I don't plan to let you forget this, either.
[ And at that, he kisses him. It isn't anything like a romance novel of deep passion and extreme skill for a first timer. It's perhaps a little too rough, but it shows his emotions. It's not bad, he does have an unnerving way of having a natural talent for plenty of things he does, but it's obvious that he lacks the experience and skill to make it really good. It'll come in time and he probably has a really good practice partner now. ]
It's so warm when those fingers cross his bare skin and those tender lips press against his again-an inexperienced bite accompanying an amateur level of skill. It's easy to pinpoint where he's lacking on the battlefield-harder to note it when all he can think about is digging his fingers into his shirt, his hair, running his nails along his chest and neck and-
He doesn't want to think about long this has been brewing under the surface-a desire ignited by the smallest flicker of flame.
I don't plan to let you forget this either-as if he could. Kiss or not, body pressed down on his or not, legs tight around his body or not-
He can't forget JoJo. For better or worse, it's been that way since the day they met. Since the moment he shook cards out of his sleeve and saw him run miles around those Pillar Men with turn of phrase, with a gamble.
It's wrong to give into this compulsion. Absolutely foolish to play into this man's game.
But the alternative is his friend finds a place in someone else's home in the arms of a companion who may not be as forgiving. This place is weird and-
That's all it is. It's a favor. That's it. Once he has the experience, they'll both be better for it. JoJo's been his responsibility since the day they met and he's never been one to shirk his duties.
That's all there is to it.
And it's easier to give into the growing need pressing at his chest, his lungs, ripping the air from him with every glide of lips and pants of breath shared between them. It's nothing remarkable, but somehow-
JoJo makes it seem like it is. That it could be. A hand glides down to the side of his partner's face, lightly turning his head so their faces better fit. So his nose doesn't crush against JoJo's with every press and-
He lets another hand settle on his hip, pushing hard to get him off his thighs and to hopefully flip their positions.]
You don't?
[That teasing, light lilt to his voice is soft, quiet, and meant to only be heard here.]
That confidence will get you in trouble one day, JoJo.
[ When Joseph feels that force, he knows exactly what Caesar wants and where things will potentially go, but he stands his ground for a few moments longer. It's important that he keeps himself rooted few a little bit longer.
Both of his hands slowly slide up Caesar's body and then rest on his cheeks. The touch is soft, almost achingly so. There's reason behind his tenderness and he gently plants another kiss on Caesar. It's chaste and small, so that he can have a moment to respond to him, his lips brushing against Caesar's with every word. ]
It's not meant in confidence.
[ Sure, he was confident and arrogant, but he also is very aware that Caesar has had plenty of people he's slept with before. Likely they've all been women to this point, but the point being that he's very experienced and Joseph knows that he, himself, will still be learning a lot along the way. He doesn't expect the sex to be mind-blowing exactly, though he does hope Caesar enjoys it. And he plants another soft kiss before continuing on. ]
You'll know what I mean later.
[ It's things like this that he knows also drives Caesar a bit insane. Makes him linger on it and helps to emphasize the fact that Caesar will not forget this. He'll make sure of it on a deeper level. If he's going to be giving it out to Caesar, he's going to make sure that Caesar isn't just taking him as a one night stand. Things were too deep and important between them to have him treated casually in this department.
And maybe that's old school thinking of him, but he doesn't care. It's the bond between them that he wants to strengthen and treating this as a simple one-off deal would actually annoy him a lot.
Before Caesar can properly respond, he pulls him into another deeper kiss and licks his lips a bit. He is fine with letting Caesar take more control at this point now that he's planted that seed in Caesar's brain to mull over what he could possibly mean by not letting him forget. ]
Every soft kiss pressed against him wears at his delicate grasp on reality and strains his tentative control over what's happening. To let it get this far-he's supposed to be better than this. He isn't some lovestruck teenager looking to wet his lips against any living body he happens to be near.
So why him?
Why is he letting those words get to him? That you'll know what I mean later implying something far deeper than he anticipated. It's just sex. That's all. There's nothing more to the act-a way to relieve tension and stress. A way to get JoJo's mind off of whatever he thinks is going on, to make him realize this isn't the deep, profound act he thinks it's going to be and-
It's hard to ignore the heated way his friend acts-the kisses both short and long, quick and deep, soft and aggressive and-
He's not bad and-
He hates him for it.
For a lot of things, right now.
And Caesar doesn't let him pull back from that last kiss. Fuck him. This is what he wanted and where does he get off doing this to him like it's some sort of weird ploy and-
Something snaps-that tentative grasp on whatever remained of his sanity dissipates like the smoke from a cigarette he had planned on having before this hulking behemoth pressed his body against him.
His fingers move down-twist into the front of his shirt and drag him right back down until they're connected again. Until the Manna feeds between their lips like an unspoken secret. The man spent weeks in a mask-he can handle this kind of pressure. Can handle that sort of unbidden, wanton need that drives him to tempt and urge the man closer, keep him closer and-
He's so angry.
Every short pant of breath between their lips makes him acutely aware of how close they are-his chest pressing against the man's with every inhale, his pants a little too tight whenever they brush against the bastard on him and-
He flips them over with a teasing hand and a little force-an action he thought would make him feel better, but all it does is give him a clear view of those sinking emerald eyes focused on only him.]
How long do I have to wait to find out what your cryptic words mean?
[He rests both hands against his sides-trails his fingers down his sides and to the edge of the belt against his hips. There's a second, where he looks like he's going to unlatch it, but-
All he does is run them over his clothed thighs instead-a teasing, petulant sort of gesture to regain the upper hand while his lips find their target against his neck.
How did this happen? Isn't he supposed to be more disciplined than this?
He doesn't pause, doesn't stop, but he does quietly mouth against that supple skin behind his ear-]
[ At this point, there isn't any resistance to being flipped over. Once again, he knows where to pick his battles and just because Caesar thinks he has the control and has the complete upper hand, it doesn't mean he actually does. After all, this is still going in the direction Joseph thought it would and that's the main point of it all. He shifts his body a bit to settle comfortably on the bed and under Caesar's weight and touch, able to handle it all and even more.
His arms slip to casually drape over Caesar's shoulders, to the point that he can casually brush his fingers against Caesar's spine and neck. Before properly answering him, he leans up to give him another kiss, this time deeper and more assured. As if he's showing his resolve through physical action alone. Then again, that spoke volumes between them. The problem is that it didn't speak everything. Their bond was deep and they could understand volumes just from a glance or a touch, but some things needed to be articulated in words. The answer to Caesar's questions needed to be spelled out to accompany this kiss. ]
Not sure how long.
[ His voice comes out lower, more husky than normal. He isn't about to hide his feelings from his tone. At least, not about his want for Caesar. Would it make him seem desperate? Maybe. But he didn't care and given the history and things between them, while Caesar would tease him about plenty, he has a feeling that wouldn't be a line he's cross into teasing.
It would be too dangerous. Not only could it ruin something between them somehow, it would mean that Caesar would have to admit there's more to this than he would like to and Joseph can tell from how he's approaching this that it seems like he's convinced that it's going to be a one off event. Not likely, Joseph believes. No, he knows. There's just too much there. But he won't press that part of it.
But instead, he'll answer that second question in a way that could ruin the entire mood here. A fine line. A balancing act of emotion. A push and pull to lure Caesar in more and to force him into a corner without him realizing it, more or less. His fingers trail up into Caesar's hair and grip the blonde locks. ]
I've sworn to only live with one regret, so you don't have to worry about that.
[ Given their previous talks and reunion, it should be more than obvious to Caesar the weight of that statement. And give weight to his conviction in this. But he doesn't lead in that he plans to make this more than a one off thing, just that he wouldn't regret this time, at least. ]
I didn't expect you to be such a tease. Trying to play the part of a mysterious casanova, are you? You're not good at it.
[Every word out of the man's mouth is a mystery waiting to be unwrapped-trick or not. Ploy or not. He can't be sure, but they've reach a point where JoJo would have long since stopped this nonsense if his goal was to-
Get whatever it is he wanted out of this interaction. Avoid going back to his room, maybe, for reasons Caesar can't possibly comprehend. Not that he has time to ponder more about the intricate thought processes that belongs to Joseph Joestar alone-not when there's a soft pressure against his lips, a reminder that the man is not weak-he's confident. He knows what he's doing. He's no innocent flower, no clueless mark around the fountain.
And he knows what those words will do to him-understands that the only regret he'll have is a future that can't be changed and-
Caesar owes him this. Owes him the sort of bizarre comfort that comes from laying with another person, even if it's only a one night stand. It's confirmed again and again and again when he feels the tug against his head. He gets it.
He understands and this night will be the end of it. There won't be any regrets from either party and-
Dwelling on that particular thought-on the fact he isn't upset there's a man under his body-that this man is spread out between his thighs-
He can't think about it. Doesn't. Presses his lips-soft and quick against his neck, ghosts over his collarbone, presses his fingers under his shirt and over his chest.
JoJo's more toned than he gave him credit for-that lazy nature of his just a ruse to avoid work when it doesn't suit him.
Well, Caesar plans to make him work now. He's picking up on kissing fast enough-unexpected and expected all the same and-
A hand falls from his chest and moves to the small of his back, pushing upwards to guide his hips upwards until they're pressed together and Caesar can easily grind against his body-a slow, steady rhythmic slide against his body.]
[ There is a small part of Joseph that kind of hates the idea of Caesar having the most control and upper hand here, but he realizes that he, himself, doesn't have the experience to be able to properly take control over the situation. It's unfortunate that Caesar gets to take the lead, but his concern over that is overthrown by his desire to do this and see it through to the end. He wasn't about to back down from this spark of desire boiling inside of him. As much as this might seem like a spur of the moment thing, maybe he'd been planning something like this for a while. It's honestly hard to tell.
Either way, he follows that lead and arches up toward Caesar as he's guided to do. The feeling of grinding against him is pleasant feeling. He enjoys the soft shiver that runs down his spine from the contact.
Every touch and motion between them is a firm reminder that this first time won't be with a woman. Those hard muscles and strength reminded him. Not that he wanted to forget he was sleeping with Caesar specifically. It was just a strange idea of sleeping with a man when he's always had more of an interest in the female body.
For now, he throws all the bantering to the side and focuses on the touch and kisses and the sounds of breathing between the two of them. In fact, he can't help but the low, guttural moan that escapes his mouth from their friction. He's never been one to be known for being quiet, so why should it stop here? ]
im a leo and i didn't lose this tag. it lost me. thank u for coming to my ted talk.
It's impossible to pinpoint the exact moment all logic flew out the window and-
When he decided that the most viable course action was to give into that feral noise that reverberates through his friend's throat-a sound he's never heard in all their time together.
And despite how their bodies used to tangle on the training grounds, it's different now. The intimacy of every touch pressed against his skin-the gentle pressure of JoJo's fingertips matching his own.
He's lost his mind-absolutely and truly knocked senseless in the head by JoJo's words, that moan, the taste of skin on his lips and-
There's no sense in screwing around-Caesar drags his hand across the waistband of his bands, unzipping and tugging at the fabric.]
Is this all it takes quiet you? You've really never had a partner before.
leos are dumb bitches, thanks for coming to my ted talk
[ There is a low laugh at Caesar's question. It isn't that Caesar had silenced him specifically, but he was going to slightly behave for once. At least temporarily. But the fact that Caesar doesn't seem to want to enjoy that silence is enough to egg Joseph on to keep up his end of the banter. He leans to give Caesar's lower lip a sharp bite. ]
And here I was trying to be nice to let you focus.
[ That subtle implication that Caesar wasn't good enough to do two things at once, despite the fact that he's fucked around with so many women is heavy in his statement. He settles back down on the bed, giving a cheeky grin at Caesar. ]

Are you sure you won't regret this, JoJo?

He's picking up on kissing fast enough-unexpected and expected all the same and-
A hand falls from his chest and moves to the small of his back, pushing upwards to guide his hips upwards until they're pressed together and Caesar can easily grind against his body-a slow, steady rhythmic slide against his body.]
no subject
And here I was trying to be nice to let you focus.
[ That subtle implication that Caesar wasn't good enough to do two things at once, despite the fact that he's fucked around with so many women is heavy in his statement. He settles back down on the bed, giving a cheeky grin at Caesar. ]
I'll make sure you regret that.
